Maricopa County officials have awarded Darla Barfield the Tom Manos Outstanding Service Award in recognition of her 25 years of service. Barfield began her career with the county as a temporary employee in 2000 and currently works as an Executive Compliance Analyst with Correctional Health Services. In her role, she ensures that every patient receives timely care and is treated with dignity and respect.

Outside of her county work, Barfield runs a nonprofit organization that provides support to people experiencing homelessness. Every two weeks, she assembles and distributes 150 hygiene bags, which she funds personally, including a handwritten message of encouragement with each bag.

The award honors Barfield’s long-standing commitment to public service and marks her contributions both within the county and in the community.
