Phoenix Sky Harbor Road Closed for Taxiway Project
Beginning Friday, December 5, the access road from eastbound Sky Harbor Boulevard to West Economy Garage, West Economy Park & Walk, and West Air Cargo will close permanently. This road closure is part of ongoing construction related to the Taxiway U project, which is connecting the north and south airfields on the west end of Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.
Drivers will need to use eastbound Buckeye Road as an alternative route to these facilities. For example, motorists traveling eastbound on I-10 should exit at "Sky Harbor," take the "PHX Sky Train" or 24th Street Station exit, and then turn left onto Buckeye Road.
Terminal access will not be affected by this change. Motorists in the area should exercise caution and follow directional signage to reach their destinations. Further details on the construction activities are available at improvingphx.com.
