Maricopa County, Arizona, is taking steps to help residents cope with the dangers of extreme heat. For the second consecutive year, the county is partnering with Clear Channel Outdoor to promote more than 200 cooling centers and other resources across the Valley. The campaign includes billboards to raise awareness. Residents in need of assistance are encouraged to call 211 or visit 211Arizona.org.

The available services include respite sites, transportation help, and utility support. The initiative is supported by community partners including the Maricopa Association of Governments, 2-1-1 Arizona, and the City of Phoenix.
