Construction has started on the Taxiway Uniform project at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. When finished, the project will add a new taxiway more than 2,000 feet long to connect the north and south airfields on the airport's west end. The taxiway is being built to help improve the flow of aircraft and overall airport operations. Road closures may occur near Sky Harbor Boulevard and Buckeye Road during construction.
